Charlotte’s known for our excellent and fairly mild climate, and when it’s time to leave your apartment for dinner out, you want to enjoy that climate to the fullest. To help, the city has a number of restaurants that offer indoor and outdoor seating. Here are some of the best ones.

1. Dilworth Neighborhood Grill

Visit the Dilworth Neighborhood Grill on game day to enjoy your favorite team live while dining on sports bar cuisine and sampling great drinks. Daily drink specials help you enjoy some variety, and you can enjoy the popular “build your own salad” option.

2. Earl’s Grocery

This urban market has a tasty food counter and espresso bar, and on nice days they open up the garage doors to let the fresh air in. It sits on the trolley line in Elizabeth, so it’s easy to reach. Come for lunch, then take home a snack or some gourmet cheeses for later.

3. Mac’s Speed Shop

You don’t know if you’re eating inside or out at Mac’s Speed Shop, as the interior and exterior dining spaces just kind of merge together. This popular barbecue restaurant is also a sports bar and is quite popular with Charlotte’s biker crowd.

4. Treehouse Whiskey & Fork

At Treehouse Whiskey & Fork, a warm day is an invitation to swing open the overhead doors and encourage outdoor dining. An outdoor TV ensures you can see the game no matter where you dine, and lights strung overhead add ambiance after the sun goes down. 5. Rooftop 210

Rooftop 210 is the rooftop bar and lounge of EpiCetnre. You can enjoy drinks and food on the outdoor rooftop dining area, or head under the awning when the weather’s not conducive to outdoor dining. Rooftop 210 hosts Alive After 5, a weekly outdoor summer music concert series.

This neighborhood hangout serves craft beers and canned wines, and it has large doors to open for outdoor enjoyment whenever the weather allows.

7. Bakersfield

Dine on tacos while drinking tequila and whiskey either inside at the bar or outdoor on the spacious patio in this popular urban taco joint.

8. Craft Tasting Room
1320 South Church Street
The Craft Tasting Room has large overhead doors to let in the outdoors. Here you can buy a growler of your favorite beer from the tap wall, enjoy it with friends while dining on cheeses and other small bites, then take some food and drink home for later.
