Midtown is quickly growing into a popular destination for events and activities. As fall approaches and you are looking for opportunities to enjoy the lifestyle of our area around your apartment, you will find that there are many activities to experience. Check out these upcoming events both in Midtown and in nearby Dallas.
Glamping for Camping
Camp Barnabas is hosting Glamping for Camping on Sunday, October 7 starting at 5:00 pm. Head to Brake and Clutch Warehouse in your favorite glitzed-up camping gear, and enjoy live music, a family-style meal and silent auction under the lights. This outdoor-themed night out is an upscale event, but all money will go towards the Camp Barnabas Scholarship fund, which helps special needs individuals enjoy summer camp.
It may not be right in Midtown, but the Gelato Festival is not to be missed if you are a fan of the ice-cream-like concoction. Head to the Dallas Farmers Market on September 29 or September 30 to enjoy this challenge. Watch as renowned Gelato Chefs put together tasty flavors while you learn the secrets to making quality gelato and what makes it different than other frozen treats. Of course, you will have ample opportunities to sample some of the flavors after cooking demonstrations!
Hogwarts Bar Crawl
If you’re a lover of the Potterverse and a lover of craft beer, you will want to attend the Hogwarts Bar Crawl on October 20. Head to Playground Bar Uptown to register, starting at 2, then grab your included mug and wristband to take yourself through the bars that are participating. Drink specials and specialty food menus abound. Participants are welcome to come in Potter-themed costumes, and there just might be a prize or two for the best dressed.
Park and Palate
On October 27, Kylde Warren Park will host many of the best culinary artists in the area for Park & Palate. This food festival showcases the best restaurants, breweries, wineries and chefs of the region, and you will enjoy unlimited bites and tastings with your $75 ticket. In addition, entertainment from DJ S.O.U.L.JAH will be provided.
